As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you achieve your potential and lead the life you envision. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Please call or email me for a free 20-minute phone consultation today.

How can I help?

Finding the right therapist is one of the most important aspects of counseling. I offer a free 20-minute consultation to find out if we're a good fit.

Individual Counseling

facilitate positive change to improve your quality of life.

If you find yourself struggling or feel stuck in some aspect of your life or relationship, counseling can help.  Through an attuned and empathic environment, I help facilitate positive change to improve your quality of life.  Some of the areas I work with include depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, attachment related issues, grief, mindfulness and PTSD.

Co-Parenting

transition into a positive co-parenting relationship.

Divorce is a painful process that involves many strong emotions. When there are children involved, couples must move from a marital relationship to a co-parenting relationship. I offer support to couples making this transition. I also help couples develop a parenting plan as they move through the divorce process. Couples who seek co-parenting counseling, whether voluntary or court-ordered, often report a smoother, healthier transition into a co-parenting relationship. A cooperative co-parenting relationship provides a significant benefit to your children and their adjustment to divorce.

Couples Counseling

Relationships can be one of the most rewarding and challenging parts of our lives.

I help couples improve communication to increase trust and understanding and deepen the bonds of the relationship. From an attachment perspective, couples learn to experience and communicate deeper emotions and needs leading to a more loving and secure relationship. I am trained in the Gottman method of couples therapy.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

accelerate your progress.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an extensively researched, effective, non-drug, non-hypnosis therapy, which can accelerate your progress in therapy and in life. It does this by resolving painful memories which undermine your confidence, courage and calm. EMDR can help heal painful and traumatic memories, PTSD, reduce anxiety, resolve phobias, grief and loss and much more. EMDR helps alleviate negative beliefs we have about ourselves that create difficulty in our lives and relationships.,

Custody Mediation

Creating the best parenting plan for your family.

When you have made the decision to divorce and have minor children, creating your parenting plan is one of the most important aspects of your divorce and critical to the well-being of your children. Together, I help parents create a parenting plan that works for your families’ unique issues and priorities. At the same time, we will discuss developmental stages of your children to create the best parenting plan for your family.

Discernment Counseling

getting clarity about the direction of your relationship.

Do you and your spouse feel stuck as to whether to stay in your relationship or get divorced? Discernment counseling helps couples decide if they are capable of fixing their problems and whether or not they want to do so together. Discernment counseling is not couples counseling as we are not working on the relationship, but rather helping couples understand their options and avoid prematurely ending their marriage. Discernment counseling is brief, typically one to five, one  to two hour sessions, before moving ahead with the direction of their choice.

Divorce Coach

Support as you navigate the divorce process.

Divorce is a powerful roller coaster of emotions.Trying to manage these emotions along with the financial and legal aspects of a divorce can be overwhelming.  Add to this taking care of children, a job, and all the other day to day responsibilities and it is easy to see how someone can begin to feel despondent and depressed. As a divorce coach, I offer a supportive environment to help you manage the emotional and the practical aspects as you move through this transition.
